The Company
An opportunity has become available for a self-motivated professional to join a division of a diverse ASX listed construction and industrial services company with major clients in the Construction, Resources, Industrial and Residential sectors across Australia.
Reporting to the Construction Manager in Victoria, you will be responsible for the planning, controlling and execution of projects, with the goal of completing them safely, on time, within budget and in line with the GCS vision, mission & values.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the GM with review of take-offs, rates and quotation prior to submission
- Preparation of project cost reports and forecasts each month
- Review, negotiate and manage subcontracts
- Tracking project expenditure
- Administration of EOT’s and RFI’s
- Liaise with contract customers and subcontractors
- Ensure accurate and up to date cost control reporting of projects, including recording and monitoring and achieving project profitably
- Coordinate with the construction team to perform site administration to aid running of projects
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Estimating experience within the construction/resources industry.
- A sound understanding of project and estimating requirements.
- A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or other related discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information to the highest standards.
- Valid driver’s license.
